Gloria Nauden Secures Ward 6 Ballot Spot with Strong Support Across the Ward

WASHINGTON, DC — Gloria Nauden has officially qualified for the June 16, 2026, Democratic primary ballot, submitting three times the required petition signatures and demonstrating broad support across Ward 6.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — In response to recent incidents involving large groups of youth across the District, Ward 6 Council candidate Gloria Nauden today announced the launch of SPRING BREAK COMMUNITY SERVICE WEEK, a community-driven pilot initiative designed to engage local high school students in workforce exposure, civic education, and meaningful service during spring break.

Today, Gloria Nauden’s campaign for D.C.Council Ward 6 announced that it has qualified for the D.C. Fair Elections Program by surpassing the required 150 individual contributions from District residents.

Nauden, a Democrat, launched her campaign less than 30 days ago. In that short time, the committee received 167 contributions from District residents totalling $8,105. The committee estimates it will have more than $70,000 on-hand after receiving Fair Elections matching and base funds. A total of $263,680 in matching funds is available to Ward 6 candidates, an amount Nauden intends to achieve.
