Gloria Nauden Secures Ward 6 Ballot Spot with Strong Support Across the Ward
WASHINGTON, DC — Gloria Nauden has officially qualified for the June 16, 2026, Democratic primary ballot, submitting three times the required petition signatures and demonstrating broad support across Ward 6.
“This campaign has always been about showing up, listening, and doing the work,” said Nauden. “We’ve built this campaign the right way, neighbor to neighbor, and I’m grateful to the volunteers and supporters who made it possible.”
Nauden, a three-decade Ward 6 resident, mother, and former ANC Commissioner, is focused on public safety, affordability, strong schools, and strengthening community, while making city government work better for residents and small businesses.
Her campaign has built momentum through direct engagement with communities across the ward — from Capitol Hill to Southwest Waterfront, and from Navy Yard to NoMa — and through initiatives like Spring Break Community Service Week, which connected local students with workforce development and civic engagement opportunities.
“I’ve spent my career working in community development, nonprofit, and government, helping organizations and neighbors solve problems and deliver results,” Nauden said.
“That’s the approach I’ll bring to the Council, practical, focused, and accountable to the people who live here.”
With ballot access secured, the campaign will continue expanding its outreach across Ward 6, with a focus on direct voter contact ahead of early voting, which begins May 15.
