Gloria Nauden Receives Dual Endorsements from Caribbean American Civics Collective and Small Multifamily Owners Association
WASHINGTON, DC — June 5, 2026 Gloria Nauden, candidate for Ward 6 Council, is honored to announce endorsements from both the Caribbean American Civics Collective (CACC) and the Small Multifamily Owners Association (SMOA), two respected organizations representing important voices in the District’s civic, cultural, housing, and community development landscape.
These endorsements reflect growing support for Nauden’s campaign vision of a safer, stronger, and more affordable Ward 6 built through collaboration, accountability, and practical solutions that improve the quality of life for residents across the community.
Building Broad Coalitions for Ward 6
The endorsements underscore the broad and diverse coalition forming around Nauden’s candidacy—from homeowners and renters to small housing providers, business owners, seniors, families, and community advocates.
“I am deeply honored to receive the support of both the Caribbean American Civics Collective and the Small Multifamily Owners Association,” said Gloria Nauden. “These organizations represent residents and stakeholders who care deeply about community, opportunity, affordability, and civic engagement. Their support reinforces my belief that Ward 6 residents are looking for leadership that listens, collaborates, and delivers results.”
Caribbean American Civics Collective Endorsement
The Caribbean American Civics Collective has been a strong advocate for civic participation, community engagement, and the advancement of Caribbean American voices throughout the District and region.
“As the daughter of a Korean immigrant mother and a decorated U.S. Army veteran father, I understand the importance of opportunity, inclusion, and ensuring every community has a seat at the table,” Nauden said. “I am grateful for the confidence the Caribbean American Civics Collective has placed in our campaign and look forward to continuing to build bridges across Ward 6’s diverse communities.”
Small Multifamily Owners Association Endorsement
The Small Multifamily Owners Association represents housing providers who play a critical role in maintaining affordable housing opportunities and neighborhood stability throughout Washington, DC.
“Small housing providers are an essential part of our housing ecosystem,” Nauden said. “They provide homes for thousands of residents, invest in our neighborhoods, and help preserve the diverse character of our communities. We need housing policies that are balanced, practical, and focused on keeping Ward 6 affordable while supporting responsible property ownership.”
A Campaign Focused on Results
Nauden’s campaign is centered on three priorities:
Safer Communities through effective public safety strategies and accountability.
Affordable Living by addressing housing, utility, childcare, and cost-of-living pressures.
Government That Works by improving responsiveness, transparency, and neighborhood services.
As a longtime Ward 6 resident, former ANC Commissioner, community development executive, and nonprofit leader, Nauden has spent her career bringing together residents, businesses, nonprofits, and government partners to solve problems and deliver results.
“These endorsements represent more than support for a campaign,” Nauden added. “They represent a shared commitment to building stronger neighborhoods, expanding opportunity, and ensuring that Ward 6 remains a place where people from all backgrounds can live, work, raise families, and thrive.”
